Ursuline School for the Performing Arts

The Ursuline School for the Performing Arts (www.ucschools.com/uspa) offers classes for SHA students after regularly scheduled academic classes from 3-6pm. These are private lessons in piano, violin, flute, saxophone, harp, guitar, and voice. Students taking these classes are entitled to earn 1/2 credit per year toward their fine arts requirement. (An additional tuition is due for this service).

SHA students are also encouraged to participate in the Youth Orchestra at USPA. A 1/4 credit per year may be earned toward the fine arts requirement (An additional tuition is due for this service).

SHA students may choose two elective courses at USPA that are offered during the regularly scheduled school day: Acting 1 & 2 and Dance (Jazz & Ballet). Students may earn 1/2 credit for the year toward their fine arts requirement. No additional tuition is due for these classes.

Each year, USPA offers and cooperatively produces two theatrical productions with SHA. These are extra-curricular activities. One production is a musical, while the other is a drama or comedy. Auditions are required for participation.
