Sacred Heart Academy’s athletic program has a long and glorious tradition of excellence and achievement in girls’ high school sports with more than 60 state athletic titles. Sacred Heart Academy is proud to offer young women the opportunity to participate in high school athletics and be a part of the school’s heritage. More than 60% of SHA students participate in 14 sports including basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and volleyball, which are sanctioned by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) and cheerleading, dance, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse and rowing which are not sanctioned by the KHSAA, and are termed “club sports.”

For students, participation in the SHA athletic program creates excellent sports opportunities and life-long learning experiences and memories. Together, the student and her parent(s) agree to the decision to tryout and/or participate in a sport. Because of the time, effort, and dedication required by the student and her parent, both must be prepared to make commitments required by the school, the SHA athletic department, and the team. They must also abide by the policies and procedures outlined in the parent and student handbook and athletic department handbook.

SHA’s cross country, swimming, and track programs have no-cut policies and are available to any student who wishes to participate.

For more information about Sacred Heart’s athletic program, contact Athletic Director Donna Moir at 893-9353 or dmoir@sacredheartacad.com.
