the SHA Alumnae Association?
The SHA Alumnae Association is comprised
of all graduates of Sacred Heart Academy. Today we have a
membership of over 9,000 alums whom we regularly contact.
The Sacred Heart Academy Alumnae Association is the official
organization through which graduates continue to be informed
about Sacred Heart and fellow classmates.
The purpose of the Sacred Heart Alumnae
Association is:
1) to establish a tradition of alumnae fellowship
2) to serve as a liaison between the graduates and the school
3) to instill a sense of supporting Sacred Heart in spirit
and fun, and in giving back to Sacred Heart financially
4) to coordinate alumnae activities, reunions, and annual
giving
Class Representatives
Sacred Heart Academy maintains contact with each class through
the class representative. Class reps also help to keep their
class list updated, help organize reunions and help with the
annual giving solicitation of the alumnae. Each class elects
class representatives prior to graduation. New elections take
place at class reunions every five years.
Keeping in Touch
The Ursuline Campus Schools Alumnae Office sends the Heartbeat
newsletter four times a year to all alumnae. In it you will
find news about Sacred Heart, information about classmates,
special stories and general information.
Sacred Heart Academy Alumnae Board
The Sacred Heart Academy Alumnae Office works in conjunction
with the Alumnae Board. The 15-member board meets monthly
to plan alum activities, assist the Alumnae office with various
projects, and help support functions at Sacred Heart.
Reunions and Alumnae Gatherings
Each class holds a reunion every five years. Alumnae events
are also planned around special athletic events, art shows,
Interlude Art Fair and other special SHA events. Every March
we sponsor an all class reunion Mass and Brunch. We continue
to honor our alums with special awards after they leave. Annually
we award Heart Awards, Alumna of the Year Award and we induct
alums into our Athletic Hall of Fame. All alumnae are asked
to nominate their classmates for these awards.
