Grading and GPA

Grading is registered in numbers on the student's report card. Occasionally, teachers may give letter grades for some class assignments. The grading scale is

  A 90 - 100%
  B 83 - 89%
  C 76 - 82%
  D 70 - 75%
  F below 70%

Grade Point Average (GPA)

A student's Grade Point Average (GPA) is figured each semester and based on a simple four-point scale. The points awarded are as follows:

  A 4 points
  B 3 points
  C 2 points
  D 1 point
  F 0 points

These points are added and the sum is divided by the number of credits attempted. The result is the GPA.
